Henderson UMC Rebecca A. Beachamp Nursing Scholarship

Henderson United Methodist Church in Callao endowed a nursing scholarship in memory of Rebecca Allen Beauchamp, who passed away on June 23, 2025. Ms. Beauchamp was a member of the first graduating class at Northumberland High School in 1957, and continued her education at the Johnston-Willis Hospital School of Nursing, becoming a Registered Nurse in 1960. She was gifted with a caring nature and enjoyed a long nursing career with the medical department at DuPont in Richmond, Virginia. This scholarship is funded in perpetuity and will provide scholarships to nursing students for many years to come.
